Orientation Flights

The Cadet Orientation Flight Program is designed to introduce our youth to general aviation through hands-on orientation flights in single engine aircraft and gliders. The program's motto describes what cadet flying is all about: Safe, Fun, Educational.

Simulator Training

Our cadets have an opportunity to participate in KC-10 simulator training when available and by invitation only. We are fortunate to be located close to McGuire AFB and their facilities. A special experience for our cadets with many smiles by the end of this activity!

Allentown Memorial Day Parade

Our cadets are the lead color guard for the annual Allentown Memorial Day Parade. We perform a special flag folding ceremony and presentation for the Allentown community at attendance.

Air Force Drill training

Our cadets practice on their drill training next to our meeting place. Several times during the year we spend weekends drilling and learning to train others on the Air Force drill manual. We move by marching in step!

Cadet Promotions

Our cadets are promoted through testing and participation in aerospace, leadership, safety, moral leadership and physical training. Our cadet ranks begin at cadet airmen and rise to the ultimate rank of cadet colonel. Cadets learn interview techniques and proper presentation.

Allentown and CAP History

Our squadron has participated at the Allentown Presbyterian Church since the 1960's! We want to thank them for allowing us to stay so long! Civil Air Patrol began in 1941 and we are celebrating 70 years as a private non-profit organization.

Training! Training!

Our squadron trains in classrooms, open halls, outdoors in all areas of CAP training. We like watching videos on drill and ceremony. We also like learning CPR and are regularly updating our qualifications in case we need it. This is a requirement for our emergency services qualifications.

Serving our nation

Our members are not bashful in showing their patriotism! Our motto as volunteers is "Performing Missions for America". We serve our nation with honor and a purpose. We enjoy posing in front of our nation's flag!

Cadet Programs

Would you like to honor and serve America? Then rise to the challenge of cadet membership in the Civil Air Patrol. This is an excellent program for young people where you can learn so much.

Imagine building a model rocket to launch into the air. Studying the principles of flight, leadership, and morality is our primary goal for cadets. If you like to keep physically fit we maintain a plan for our cadets to motivate them.

Civil Air Patrol builds strong citizens for the future by providing leadership training, technical education, scholarships and career education to young men and women, ages 12 to 21. We need adults to help assist in this program so don't hesitate and JOIN NOW!

Emergency Services

While CAP has long been associated with search and rescue missions, its work also includes disaster relief and communications, as well as counter-drug and homeland security missions.

On average, each year CAP members fly more than 100,000 hours (our corporate aircraft) in operational missions and save about 100 lives. CAP provides air and ground support for disaster relief, flying officials to remote locations, transporting blood or live tissue to critical care sites and performing aerial damage assessment.

In emergency services and operations we not only need aircrew members, but also ground team members to aid in the rescue of survivors or to assess damage after a disaster. JOIN NOW!

Aerospace Education

Cadets have a mandatory aerospace education program.  They must learn about aerospace education to progress in CAP.

CAP needs adults for its aerospace education program. In addition to educating our own members, CAP’s adult leaders provide training and resources to teachers who reach out to students of all ages across the country. Aviation and aerospace impacts the lives of Americans every day, and CAP works to ensure that citizens know the how valuable aviation and aerospace is in our world.

There is no other private non-profit organization with a aircraft fleet as large as CAP in the world! Our relationship with the U.S. Air Force allows us many opportunities . JOIN NOW!
